Some people say facing into the cabin, some people say firing towards the rear of the trunk. Then, keep the speaker grill facing upward and pointed to the back side of your car. and imo cancel the amp to, and with the money you save on the cap. They said the sound bounces off the trunk and gives a better sound. Im not really goin for spl just sq and looks of course.
Although when i am finished it will be stationary, not moving when the back is opened. If you have compact satellite speakers or bookshelf speakers, an 8-inch or 10-inch sub will do the job. well ill just have to do a spl test thing when its all done then huh? It does sound good but i think its getting ready to blow and i really want a 15.
I've noticed the OEM subwoofer (sport touring only) is rather weak and there is no way of adjusting the audio settings (or even an equalizer). The problem [with facing the subwoofers forward in a trunked vehicle] is that the subs are not loaded against a hard boundary surface of the vehicle. If you notice the bass get louder with the windows down then this is definately costing you spl. Let me say it once again - bass waves DO NOT need space to develop. Your subs have to match your speakers and amplifiers, but also needs to fit into the designated location.

New member. If you love to listen to music in the car, I know I do, then youâll want to make sure your car has a decent sound system in it! Pointing the speaker upward will result in good bass sound quality, especially in a hatchback. as soon as my dame dynomat gets here and my other amp. thats how most subs face in trucks and how most boxes are designed for trucks.
